Job scam advisory
People sometimes pretend to be recruiters to take money or personal details from job seekers. Here is how to check a message that uses our name.
Warning signs
You are asked to pay
Be very careful with anyone who asks for money for a job, an interview, registration, training, a laptop or a security deposit.
An offer with no interview
A job offer that arrives without a proper conversation about the role, the company and your experience is a reason to stop and check.
You are rushed
"Pay today or lose the offer" and similar pressure is a common trick. A real employer gives you time to think.
You are asked for private details
Do not share an OTP, a bank PIN, card numbers or passwords with anyone over chat, email or phone.
How to check a message is from us
Write to sales@hireologist.com and tell us who contacted you, from which number or email address, and about which role. We will tell you whether it came from our team.
Our website is www.hireologist.com. Check the spelling of any address you are sent. A changed letter or an extra word is a sign of a copy.
If you are unsure, do not pay, do not share documents and do not click links until you have heard back from us.
In India, call the national cyber crime helpline on 1930 or report it at cybercrime.gov.in as soon as you can, and tell your bank. Then write to us at sales@hireologist.com so we can warn others.
